Ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Singer Lays Down Tracks For JAYCE LANDBERG; Audio Available
February 20, 2007Singer Göran Edman (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, GLORY) recently laid down vocals on two songs from Swedish guitarist/composer/novelist Jayce Landberg. According to Jayce, "Marilyn" (audio) is "a French-inspired ballad basically about people who have lost faith in life and given up. There is also an analogy to Marilyn Monroe's suicide if you read the lyrics between the lines. It was written by me, and Göran contributed with vocals arrangements." The other track featuring Göran, "Lost Without You" (audio),is "about our nowadays society that has lost its values and its notion of morality," says Jayce. "I wrote the music for 'Lost Without You' but the lyrics were written by Göran and I. Right now, I'm contacting record labels to get them interested in the release of the songs. However in the meantime, an EP is planed to be released under my name on Victoria Records (a small indie label) in early 2007."
Jayce Landberg was born in Geneva, Switzerland. Growing up, he lived in both countries and absorbed their cultures. At an early age, he developed a strong interest in art and especially music. Following a permanent relocation to Sweden as a young man he began playing in several bands. Formal studies continued and Jayce graduated a Master of Arts majoring in literature and languages, and also became a Bachelor of International Law. Jayce is fluent in Swedish, English and French. Today Jayce is a guitar virtuoso of the Malmsteen/Vai mould and continues to compose. Early 2006 he debuted as a science fiction novelist.
